Overview:
AMaGA WA is seeking an Engagement Officer to support our network of metropolitan and regionally based museums, galleries and collections. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for collections and a desire to contribute to the cultural landscape of Western Australia. This position reports directly to the WA Branch Committee and works alongside the Collections WA Project Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Work with museums, galleries and collections to develop and maintain a network of museum professionals and stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the network, including managing communication channels, including EDM and social media, and maintaining records.
• Liaise with Chapter conveners across WA and support and promote their activities.
• Be the main contact point for members and direct their queries appropriately.
• Provide secretarial support to the WA Branch Committee, recording minute, distributing agendas and papers etc.
• Assist the committee in preparing grant applications and other fundraising proposals.

Skills:
• Basic administration and computing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management.
• Knowledge of the museum, gallery and collections sector, or membership management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
