We looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Curator to join the Galleries, Museum and Heritage team at the Cultural Facilities Corporation. You will be assisting the research, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative interpretation including exhibitions, program content and publications for the Canberra Museum and Gallery, Lanyon Homestead, Mugga Mugga Cottage, Calthorpes House and the Nolan Collection.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with museum collections and exhibitions, at historic sites and at museums and galleries. You’ll be an organised, multi-tasker who enjoys working in a high-performing team and being involved in a creative, dynamic environment.

You will need to have a passion for the Visual Arts, Design, Heritage and Social History of the Canberra region, experience working within a fast-paced museum or gallery environment, well-developed research skills and be an effective verbal and written communicator, able to work professionally with a range of stakeholders.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Experience working in ACT Government would be welcome but not essential.
The position is a full-time role working 36.75 hours a week and will be based at Canberra Museum and Gallery.
