About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and purpose driven leader to join the Melbourne Holocaust Museum (MHM) as our Head of Engagement & Philanthropy.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a broad and integrated portfolio spanning fundraising, marketing, communications, partnerships, events and audience engagement, with full accountability for driving revenue, strengthening brand impact, and deepening community connection.
Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will operate across both strategy and delivery, leading a capable team while shaping innovative, data-informed approaches to donor engagement and audience growth. You will steward meaningful relationships with donors, supporters and stakeholders, and play a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability and reach of MHM.

About You
You are an experienced engagement, fundraising or marketing leader who thrives in for-purpose environments and brings both strategic vision and operational excellence.
You will demonstrate:
Proven success leading strategic fundraising and revenue generation, including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship
Strong experience developing and executing strategic marketing and engagement strategies
A track record of building trusted relationships with donors, partners and stakeholders
Experience leading and developing high performing teams with a collaborative and values driven approach
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to use data and insights to inform decisions and drive outcomes
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
A passion for working in an organisation committed to combating antisemitism, racism and prejudice
Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline and proven fundraising experience are expected.
