Queensland’s leading law library has an exciting opportunity—we’re hiring for the position of Exhibition Curator (Project).
The Exhibition Curator (Project) manages a schedule of work to bring an exhibition from project initiation to installation.
Part time (3 days a week), temporary (20 weeks with the possibility of extension), competitive salary, flexible working options.
Scope of the role
• In collaboration with the Principal Librarian Research and Education and relevant stakeholders, research and design an exhibition for presentation at the QEII Courts of Law Brisbane, in regional courthouses and facilities, and online
• Develop and manage an exhibition project plan and work plan which addresses timeframes, funding needs, procedures, spaces and resource requirements
• Produce and maintain an exhibitions calendar, including an installation/de-installation schedule
• Assist in the development and management of the exhibition budget including sourcing quotes, tracking and recording expenditure and identifying improvements and assisting with reporting progress against budget
• Collaborate with the library’s communications and marketing team for marketing and promotion of the exhibition
• Coordinate as required the work of the library staff, volunteers and contractors in the development and delivery of the exhibition, including assigning duties and responsibilities and monitoring workflows and outputs and liaising with the exhibition working party
• Assist the Research and Education team to develop learning material for the exhibition and support the team in organising for the delivery of education tours and other public programs
• Collaborate, communicate progress, and coordinate work with internal and external clients and key stakeholders including collection managers, designers and developers, educators, librarians and subject matter experts
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying potential efficiencies and enhancements in the delivery of services
