  • About the City of Melville Museums team
  • We collect and preserve historical information and artefacts including images, objects, maps, documents and oral histories about our local history. As well as creating unique ways for the public to engage in our heritage content through regular exhibitions and displays throughout our city’s cultural spaces.
  • The City is launching an exciting new project, we are building a brand new multi-million dollar Library and Cultural Centre and this role will play a pivotal role in preparing the collection and researching the stories to be told in our new centre.

About our Museum Collections

We collect and preserve a large archive of images, objects, maps, documents and audio recordings that document our local history. All of our items are donated by residents or gathered internally.
