  • The Western Sydney Creative team is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Producer - Indigenous Programming and Curatorial.
  • The position is critical to the development and success of the new Indigenous Centre of Excellence, located on Darug land at our Parramatta South Campus.
  • The Indigenous Centre of Excellence will be a dynamic space where culture, knowledge, and community interact. Through state-of-the-art facilities including a gallery, theatre, cinematheque, discovery centre and storytelling hub, the Centre will provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and learn about Indigenous culture.
  • The Producer - Indigenous Programming and Curatorial is responsible for leading both the conceptual and operational implementation of the ICoE’s arts and cultural programs. This entails showcasing Indigenous projects, initiatives, and events both during the development phase and for the opening of the ICoE.

About Western Sydney Creative
The Western Sydney Creative team within the Office of Strategy, Government and Alliances, is responsible for leading the implementation of the Western Sydney Creative Strategy. Launched in 2019, the Strategy sets out the University's commitment and capacity as a leading learning, research and advocacy organisation for arts and culture in our region. Refer to the Western Sydney Creative Decadal Strategy for more information.
In this role, the Producer reports primarily to the Director, Western Sydney Creative and the Director, Indigenous Futures, with guidance from the Senior Curator. This role involves managing assigned events from conception to completion, including devising a programmatic strategy for the ICoE, developing budgets, seeking revenue streams, developing partnerships, and overseeing the involvement of various internal and external stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term position until July 2026 based at Western’s Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
