About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced and qualified person to join our library team. The Library and Archives Officer role is a vacant ongoing position and previous experience working within a specialist library environment is an advantage. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work as part of a small team of two, and at times in a solo capacity.

The Library and Archives Officer supports the Library and Archives Coordinator across a diverse range of collection management tasks and in delivering information services. The Research Library is co-located offsite with our Collection Repository at Mitchell, and as such, a current class C driver’s license is essential.

Your duties will include accessioning and cataloguing physical collection materials and undertaking other collection maintenance duties as required. You will also be responsible for monitoring and responding to requests and inquiries, and provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to Museum staff, external patrons and other key stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
