What You'll Do

As the Interpretation and Signage Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination, delivery and evaluation of interpretation and signage projects across both Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to work as a collaborative, flexible and reliable member of the team, developing positive and professional staff and stakeholder relationships to deliver projects. A normal day would see you provide administrative support for project planning, logistics, signage request coordination, liaising with designers and signage fabricators, problem solving and navigating shifting priorities as well as a hands-on contribution to supporting the Programming and Audience Development's events and programs.

What You'll Bring

The successful candidate must hold a current Victorian driver's license, as well as industry or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or demonstrated relevant experience. You possess excellent organisational skills with an ability to effectively maintain systems and processes, problem solve, coordinate tasks and respond to changing priorities and deadlines of multiple components of simultaneous projects. In addition, you have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Suite (particularly Acrobat, InDesign and Illustrator), with digital content management experience also highly desirable. You have a willingness to learn and a preparedness to roll up your sleeves to any task, recognising that they all play a key role in the team's success. As someone who can work independently and be a great addition to a collaborative team, ideally you will hold a good understanding of quality event production, including experience preparing run-sheets, coordinating suppliers, staff and volunteers, OHS and site logistics. The scope of this role would see the successful candidate spending their time between the Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens with a variety of administrative and site-based, outdoor, physical work.
