• The Manager, Education and Public Programs, leads a small team to develop, deliver and evaluate education, public programs and events at the Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG), The Nolan Collection, Lanyon Homestead, Calthorpes House and Mugga Mugga Cottage. This role will lead the growth of our museum programs to increase our educational offerings, broaden our audiences and tourism opportunities, and enhance visitor understanding of our exhibitions, collections and cultural heritage places.
The CFC is the ACT’s largest cultural organisation, managing a unique mix of performing arts, visual arts, social history and heritage venues across five sites as well as having responsibility for the Civic Library building. The CFC has both Creative Expression and Organisational Development arms.
-We’re looking for a creative professional that can lead the growth of our museum programs to increase our educational offerings, broaden audiences and tourism opportunities, and enhance visitor understanding of our exhibitions, collections and cultural heritage places.
The role will ensure that the education experiences delivered (onsite, offsite and outreach) meet curriculum requirements, that life-long learning programs are appropriate for the intended audiences (of all ages and backgrounds) and our programs support GMH’s Learning Policy and the CFC’s Strategic Plan.
