An exciting opportunity to work in a pivotal role at the Migration Museum, located within the North Terrace cultural precinct.

Job Opportunity:
The Migration Museum Manager is responsible for leading a dedicated team to deliver excellence in visitor experiences, school education and holiday programs, working with communities, events and the security and integrity of the Migration Museum's buildings, contents and grounds; and delivering a highly positive experience of the History Trust of South Australia.

Key components of the role:
• Coordinate the core visitor experience at the Migration Museum and ensure business opportunities are responded to and implemented.
• Coordinate the administrative needs of the Migration Museum operations and provide assistance as directed by the Manager of Museums.
• Act collaboratively with other HTSA museum managers seeking to align and streamline services, business operations and visitor experience initiatives.
• Ensure the induction, performance management and training of assigned staff and volunteers as well as the coordination and management of volunteer scheduling at the Migration Museum.
• Exemplify high standards of customer service and actively promote, encourage and model a positive workplace culture.
• Act as the first point of contact for finance and HR matters relating to the Migration Museum.
• Advise and assist with marketing and promotional initiatives at the Migration Museum.

About you:
You have a keen interest in South Australia’s social and migration history and are a dynamic individual, able to adapt, innovate and lead high performing teams with a customer led focus.

Special Conditions:
Some out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a current driver’s licence is desirable.

Qualifications:
Desirable: Qualifications in related fields such as History, Education and/or Tourism.
